Our neck comprises of muscles, ligaments and bony vertebrae that provide support for our head and assists it in its motions. Any injury or change in the normal state of these causes neck pain. To ensure the need of neck pain treatment the following diagnosis such as X-rays of the neck to check for wear and tear or deformities, Bone scan, Electromyography also known as EMG and so on are needed. A neck pain diagnosis can be done with the help of MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) or CT (Computerised Tomography) and blood test as well.
The procedure of neck pain treatment is decided based on the intensity of pain and the condition diagnosed.
